"Going to my first RCIA class, I was nervous and excited. To my delight, walking into RCIA was like walking into a big warm hug. I had never felt so safe and supported in anything that I had done. there were people of all ages, of all backgrounds, of all different stages on their own religious journeys, all there for different reasons, coming together for one reason. It's almost magical.
RCIA is a place to learn about the how's and why's of being Catholic, and investigate how you fit. You learn that you are not alone, that it's okay to ask questions, and you leave feeling closer to God and the Holy Cross community. "When you go to RCIA you realize that there is a lot more to "it" and it's a little bit more complicated than you thought. The best part about the class is the class itself. Everyone is encouraged to put in their two cents and by listening and participating, you learn so much. It changes everything. You see and hear everything differently. "I would highly recommend people to join RCIA. It has changed my life for the better and made me feel good about myself. I got to meet lots of nice people, learn new things, and experience a journey. The classes are not just reading the Bible and lectures; they are discussions. The class would read a passage and discuss what we think it means. It was great to get different people's views and interpretations on the topics. The class helped me to understand the reading in church more and made me realize how important the passages are.
I would highly recommend RCIA to anybody. It was a wonderful experience. It is difficult to explain everything that the class has done for me. There is a lot to say about this program. One must join and see for themselves."
